IUSM must recruit, retain, and advance the best faculty and learners to achieve its strategic goals and to accomplish our tripartite mission. Our culture must enable all to reach their full potential. The stakes are too high for any portion of the talent pool to be under-utilized. Women and people of color, however, remain under-represented both at the IUSM and nationally. A core emphasis of the OFAPD is to advance women and under-represented minorities in medicine and science, in order to advance the IUSM itself.
