The Office of Diversity Affairs is proud to introduce the new Dr. Patricia Treadwell Women in Medicine Series. Named in honor and celebration of IUSM’s very own Dr. Patricia Treadwell, as she retires from IUSM after 40 years of service.  The series, to be held annually during February/March bridging Black History Month and Women’s History Month, will explore how the intersections of race and gender affect academic medicine and the health sciences professions.

The inaugural speaker will be Dr. Patricia Treadwell, Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at IUSM discussing cultural competence and patient outcomes. The lecture will be followed immediately by a reception in honor of Dr. Treadwell’s retirement.  Refreshments will be served.

This event is sponsored by the IUSM Office of Diversity Affairs . If you have questions about this event please contact the office at 317-274-1939 or by email at iusmdiv@iupui.edu.
