About Senem

Senem leads the faculty recruiting activities as well as dual career services for the school. She functions as process owner in Executive Faculty searches and oversees search timeline, communication & sourcing strategies, relationship with stakeholders, procedural effectiveness and current state analysis.


She has  worked in a variety of industries including  higher  education,  consulting,  pharmaceutical  and  telecommunication.  Most  recently,  she  was  the  Faculty  Employment  Specialist  in  the  Office  of  Academic  Affairs  at  Purdue  University  College  of  Engineering.  She  worked  for  a  Dutch  higher  education  institute  before  joining  to  Purdue  and  gained  experience  in  European  Union  projects  on  regional  development,  human  resources,  and  diversity  &  inclusion.


Senem  holds two master’s degrees, one in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management from Purdue University Krannert School of Management and another in International Relations with a focus on European Union from the Middle East Technical University in Turkey. While  pursuing  her  Human  Resources  degree,  Senem  also  spearheaded  the  Purdue  Human  Library  Project,  which  was  based  on  a  Danish  informal  training  methodology  for  diversity  engagement.
