Brownsyne Tucker Edmonds is an Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs | Professional Development | Diversity and an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. Tucker Edmonds earned her bachelor and medical degrees from Brown University, earned a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health, completed her residency at Duke University, and earned a Masters in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania.


Dr Tucker Edmonds focuses her efforts in the Office of Diversity Affairs on faculty development for populations underrepresented in medicine. She is excited to develop programming to help junior faculty of color advance professionally and thrive personally in the IUSM community. She seeks to aid in cultivating an open and inclusive climate in support of recruiting, retaining, and promoting a talented, diverse faculty and leadership team.  Her work in the Office of Diversity Affairs is a natural extension of passions for social justice and health equality.
