The 2015 Steven C. Beering Award will be presented to Laurie H. Glimcher, M.D., Stephen and Suzanne Weiss Dean of Weill Cornell Medical College and Provost for Medical Affairs of Cornell University. The Beering awardee will present her lecture “Stressed Out: A Novel Approach to Cancer Immunotherapy” on Thursday, September 24 and reception to follow in the Walther Hall Atrium.

Women have achieved significant accomplishments in medicine and science, yet comprise a relatively small proportion of faculty, especially at the highest ranks and positions of leadership. As a result, women faculty tend to have smaller professional networks than male colleagues and have fewer role models of success. The Stepping Stones of Women in Leadership series is intended to create a forum where all faculty and students can learn about professional development through hearing the personal career journeys of successful women. Please join us in honoring the career of the 2015 Steven C. Beering Award winner, Laurie H. Glimcher, M.D.

The IUPUI Center for Teaching and Learning seeks proposals from faculty teaching at universities across Indiana for the 2016 E.C. Moore Symposium on Excellence in Teaching. Proposals that have application to other disciplines are strongly encouraged. The 2016 E.C. Moore Symposium will be held at the IUPUI Campus Center on Friday, March 25, 2016.
