The Cultural Awareness Town Hall (CATH) is a formal speaker series hosted semiannually on issues related to current events and health professions. Ryan Harris, MD, assistant professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine, will address this year’s theme Removing the Stigma: Addressing Mental Health and Wellness in Communities of Color.

Promotion and tenure office hours provide faculty members an opportunity to receive feedback and advice about the promotion and tenure process, including review of their promotion and tenure materials. Faculty Affairs, Professional Development, Diversity offers drop-in office hours from 9am-11am on the third Tuesday and the 4th Wednesday of each month in the Van Nuys Medical Science Building, room 204. Office hours are also available online via Zoom.

The Curriculum Enhancement Grant (CEG) provides faculty with technical and instructional support, time, and funds to implement projects designed to improve learner success. The grant supports a wide range of faculty projects, including projects involving face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses as well as those pursuing broader curriculum development.

Most Americans report that they are neither sexist or racist. Most also say they believe the workplace should be level, inclusive and fair. However, translating these beliefs into behaviors is a constant struggle for many. This upbeat and interactive session led by Dennis A. Davis, PhD, will focus on how to live up to the expectation for a harassment-free workplace where dignity, respect and inclusion are afforded to all.

This year, Digital Measures Activity Insight (DMAI) will be used to complete the annual review and is now available for faculty and administrative leaders via One.iu.edu. Faculty will be expected to confirm and update all 2018 activity in DMAI and download the IU School of Medicine Faculty Annual Review Report.
