Interested faculty must apply to participate in the program. The application materials and timelines are available here.
Each faculty member who is selected to participate in the program will:
- Meet with a member of the Center for Urban and Multicultural Education twice (once prior to the start of the program and once near the completion of the program).
- Attend monthly ½ day sessions.
- Complete short reading assignments or other activities between sessions.
- Identify a project to be completed during the 2009-2010. Examples of projects include:
- Grant application
- Scholarly article
- Teaching innovation (e.g., new course, curriculum development)
- Meet monthly with an assigned functional mentor. The mentor will support the Next Generation @ IUPUI participant in setting timelines, finding collaborators, and completing their individual project.
