Back by popular demand! This three-session series is designed to train participants to communicate complex scientific topics more effectively to non-experts like patients, learners, lawmakers, and funders. This program is free and open to all IUSM and IUPUI faculty and graduate students. Please note, if you register for this event, you will be registered for all three sessions.

OFAPD is now soliciting nominations for the 2017-2018 Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP). LAMP is a cohort-based, yearlong faculty development and orientation program designed for faculty in the 2nd and 3rd years of their appointment.

To be nominated, a brief statement of support is needed from your chair or division director no later than July 12th. After being nominated, you will need to submit a one-page document describing your career goals including what you most want to accomplish in the next three years. Final applications are due Friday, July 29th.

This seminar comprehensively addresses both conceptual and practical aspects that are associated with the grant writing process. Emphasis is given to idea development, identification of the most appropriate granting agency, how to write for reviewers, and tips and strategies that are of proven value in presenting an applicant's case to reviewers. All participants will receive light breakfast, boxed lunch, and a copy of The Grant Application Writer's Workbook.

The Evans Fellowship program is designed to provide a mid/senior physician faculty member with executive education, personal leadership assessments and coaching, and structured networking and mentoring opportunities. This program offers a two-year fellowship of leadership training including structured coursework leading to a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the IU Kelley Business of Medicine program, extensive coaching, networking, and mentoring opportunities.
