The Indiana University School of Medicine is dedicated to advancing the academic careers of our faculty. As part of our commitment to sustaining vital faculty, we have developed this mentoring portal to serve as a centralized resource to support individual and departmental mentoring practices and programs.
This site includes resources for individual faculty members (both for mentors and mentees), as well as academic units.
In support of the School’s mission of excellence in education, research, and patient care, mentoring is a fundamental component of faculty satisfaction, success, engagement, productivity and retention. The mentoring initiative comes in response to recommendations made by the 2009 IUSM Task Force on Mentoring recognizing the need for mentoring of all faculty, regardless of rank or position.
Mentoring offers career-altering opportunities for both junior and senior faculty, as we work to create collegiality, satisfaction and engagement with all members of our faculty.
