Audience: Learners and faculty

The IU School of Medicine Graduate Division and the Office of Diversity Affairs invites everyone – graduate students, postdocs, medical students, residents/fellows, and faculty – to join us this year for the Science Stories Book Club. The Science Stories Book Club reads one book together as a means to both learn about one topic – usually historical in nature, related to biomedical science – to examine the issues of diverse identities and ethical challenges in science and medicine as a group. This year we will be reading The Gene: An Intimate History by Siddhartha Mukherjee. While we have assigned chapters each week, you can join us at any time, regardless of where you are at in reading this book. If you have any questions, please contact Lauren Easterling (Graduate Division) at or the Office of Diversity Affairs

This event is sponsored by the IUSM Office of Diversity Affairs . If you have questions about this event please contact the office at 317-274-1939 or by email at
