Audience: Educators from IU Health, IU School of Medicine, and IU School of Nursing.


Faculty Development in Simulation Education:  This interprofessional session is open to all faculty and educators interested in creating simulation educational content and will be presented by local simulation experts to include faculty from IU School of Medicine, IU School of Nursing and IU Health.

This is a one day offering which will cover the essential topics of simulation education.  Whether new to simulation or experienced and looking to improve skills, attendees willl leave the session with the foundational knowledge of successful simulation.  Content will include the following:

Introduction to Simulation Education, Developing a Scenario, Running a Simulation, Debriefing, Assessment, and Scholarship.

Learning methodology will include interactive presentations and small group exercises, with an opportunity for hands-on work with high-fidelity mannequins.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health.  The Indiana University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.


Designation Statement

Indiana University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
